A method of producing a heat exchanger (1) having a heating tank (30) that has in it a partitioned chamber for containing fluid, and heating the fluid, having been led to the partitioned chamber, by heating the heating tank (30) from its exterior. The method includes a superposing step and a tank forming step. In the superposing step, metal plate-like members (10) having through-holes (20) for allowing the fluid to pass are used, and the metal members (10) are superposed such that, out of the metal members (10), metal members (10) in which their peripheral edges (11) are less in thickness than portions inside the peripheral edges are each used as at at least either of adjacent metal members (10). The tank forming step constructs the heating tank (30) formed by integrating a wall of the partitioned chamber and an outer wall of the heating tank (30), and this is performed by welding the peripheral edges (11) of the adjacent metal members (10) together. The heat exchanger can be produced simpler and can heat the fluid sufficiently.
|
