A coffin is provided to easily absorb the liquid from the body by spreading the absorbing material on the floor in the coffin and to conveniently stand the coffin through the erecting knobs. A coffin comprises a lower body(10) where the body is laid; a cover(20) connected with the lower body by a hinge(12); erecting knobs(16) installed at side walls(15) of the lower body; a flooring material(30) mounted on the floor of the lower body; and a supporting rod supporting the erecting knobs at the side wall and a lower plate(19). The knobs are fixed by plural links(23), and the links are rotatably installed on hinge-shafts(18). A protrusion(24) is placed to prevent the knob from being over-rotated. The flooring material is made of plaster(31), a powder charcoal(32), and a cloth(33). A groove(11) is formed at the upper surface of the lower body, and a packing(13) is placed at the groove to be covered with a cover(17).
