<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To know an expose status of a displaying image without displaying an attribute information, histogram, etc. of an image simultaneously with the image. <P>SOLUTION: The brightness of the image on a luminance degree distribution is divided into two or more steps. On indicating the image, the luminance degree distribution of the image which should be displayed are acquired, and a distinct sound is generated by whether a degree of any stage is the highest.
