<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover of a quick connector which can effectively prevent breakage and damage at a root of a nipple caused by the application of a heavy external force to the quick connector. <P>SOLUTION: The protective cover 50 protects the nipple portion 26 of the quick connector 16 having an insertion portion 24 for axially inserting a mating pipe 14 into an inside insertion space 22, a retainer 20 for preventing the coming-out of the insertion portion 24, and a small-diameter nipple 26 having engagement teeth 28 on its outside peripheral surface. The protective cover 50 is composed of a cylindrical shape portion 51 which serves as a protective body portion made of a non-flexible rigid material, and a nail 52 which serves as a fixing portion. The protective cover 50 is fixed to the quick connector 16 by means of the nail 52, and the nipple 26 is covered by the cylindrical portion 51 from the outside periphery side so as to form a clearance between the outside peripheral surface of a tube 10 and the cylindrical portion 51 in order to protect the nipple 26 from the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
