<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flower and ornamental plant order receiving and placing system for efficiently carrying out business from order receiving and placing up to selling between a customer of a retail dealer who deals with flowers and ornamental plants and a wholesaler who sells flowers and ornamental plants wholesale. <P>SOLUTION: When trading in flowers and ornamental plants with price variation, fixed wholesale prices are set for every quality based on a predetermined criterion in the wholesaler regardless of market price variation. The wholesaler 12 transmits codes such as JAN codes set to every merchandise based on the wholesale prices, and each merchandise information to the customer 14 of the wholesaler 12 from a wholesaler computer 14a through the Internet 21. Each customer 14 places an optional order to the wholesaler 12 based on the merchandise information with the JAN code attached. The wholesaler computer 12a stores the order placement data in an information database 12b of an as-needed storage device based on the JAN codes.
