<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device capable of emitting uniform light with high output. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises a container (1), a light-emitting chip (2) disposed on the bottom of the container, and a phosphor layer (3) provided on the upper surface of the light-emitting chip with thickness of ≥80 μm and ≤240 μm. The phosphor layer is constructed from a translucent member wherein phosphors with a grain size of ≥20 μm and ≤45 μm are distributed with concentration of ≥40 wt% and ≤60 wt%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
