<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of an oil supply passage of a cassette type transmission of an engine and facilitate assembly work and piping work of a transmission assembly body. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission assembly body M for supporting one end sides of an input shaft 14 and an output shaft 15 on a shaft supporting member 13 is detachably stored in a transmission chamber 11, and the other end sides of each shaft 14, 15 are supported on side walls 44, 48 of the transmission chamber 11. A first oil supply passage 104 having an oil inlet 105 communicating with a main gallery 92, a first oil taking-out port 106 communicating with an oil hole 110 of the input shaft 14, and a second oil taking-out port 107 communicating with an oil communicating pipe 115 extending from the side wall 48 onto a shaft supporting member 13 side is provided on the side wall 48.
