<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply device designed to prevent torsion of a stir paddle or damage to it, by dispersing rotating load on the stir puddle, such that a large amount of toner is prevented from agglomerating in one position within the toner supply device. <P>SOLUTION: The toner supply device 8, 20 can be replaced by being detachable from an image forming apparatus, and has in its body 21 a rotating transport spiral 23 for transporting toner and the stir paddle 24 for stirring toner. In the toner supply device 8, 20, a partition plate 30 is disposed within the main body 21, such that almost the inside of the body 21 is divided perpendicular to the lengthwise direction, at least in one position in the lengthwise direction. The partition plate 30 includes a spiral through-hole 30a, through which the transport spiral 23 extends with a slight gap left from the through-hole 30a; and a stir shaft through-hole 30b, through which the stir shaft 26 of the stir paddle 24 extends with a slight gap separated from the through-hole, and toner T agglomerating at one position is dispersed in two or more positions inside the body 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
