PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester, suppressing the change of the following polycondensation reaction by suppressing the change of the carboxy terminal group concentration of a polyester oligomer supplied into a polycondensation vessel in a simplified method and capable of producing a uniform polyester stably. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polyester continuously by preparing slurry consisting of a dicarboxylic acid and a glycol in a slurry preparation vessel, feeding the slurry by a constant amount continuously into an esterification reaction vessel, performing the esterification reaction by using multiple esterification vessels and then performing the polycondensation is provided by controlling the slurry flow rate of the slurry fed to the esterification reaction vessel within a set value±3%.
