PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-modifying agent which exhibits excellent dispersibility, can improve the appearance of a product, and can impart sufficient impact strength to the product, when added to a thermoplastic resin or a curable resin. SOLUTION: This resin-modifying agent is characterized by having an average particle diameter of≥20μm, containing particles having diameters of≤10μm in an amount of <30 mass%, and, when applying 40W ultrasonic waves to the resin-modifying agent for five minutes, containing particles having diameters of≤10μm in an amount of≥30 mass%, and having an average primary particle diameter of 300 to 700 nm.
