In the present invention, in order to provide a medicine dispensing apparatus which allows a prescribed quantity of medicines to be reliably taken out based on prescription data, there are included a plurality of cassettes 3 which contain medicines in alignment, pressing means 24 for pressing medicines in the cassette 3 toward one end side, dispensing means 23 disposed at one end portion of the cassette and having a holding recess portion 26 for holding a medicine, driving means 51 for rotating the dispensing means 23 to a receiving position at which the medicine in the cassette 3 can be received in the holding recess portion 26 and to a taking out position at which the medicine held in the holding recess portion 26 can be taken out, display means 19 for displaying a cassette 3 containing medicines required to be dispensed among the cassettes, a driving switch 15 for rotating the dispensing means 23 , and control means 100 for rotating the dispensing means 23 from the receiving position to the taking out position by the driving means 51 when the driving switch 15 of the cassette 3 displayed by the display means is turned on.
