<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable carbon monoxide gas and hydrogen gas in reformed gas to be utilized as chemical feedstocks using a gas reforming oven installed separately from a converter, and to enable carbon dioxide in the reformed gas to be utilized without releasing into the air. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas reforming oven 1, combustible wastes and/or dry distillation byproducts 8 thereof and coal 10 are made to react with oxygen 9 to produce the reformed gas comprising CO gas, H<SB>2</SB>gas, CO<SB>2</SB>gas and N<SB>2</SB>gas. The CO<SB>2</SB>gas, the CO gas and the H<SB>2</SB>gas in the reformed gas are successively separated and recovered via a separators 2, 3 and 4. At least one of the CO gas and the H<SB>2</SB>gas thus recovered is sent as a chemical feedstock to chemical synthesis plants 6 and 7. The CO<SB>2</SB>gas 14 is separated and recovered from the reformed gas in the step prior to the CO gas separation step and returned to the gas reforming oven 1, and then utilized as an alternative to N<SB>2</SB>gas for conveying coal to the gas reforming oven 1 and for sealing the oven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
