<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image search system and an image search method capable of effectively searching a desired personal image with easy handling of a searcher. <P>SOLUTION: Personal information and color information are stored in a database 14 by pursuing at least a chain of motions of one person from image data entered from a camera, and a search color, which is stored in the database 14 and reflects the color information of at least one person, is displayed on a display section 17 as a search color list. The personal information is again searched on the basis of the specified search color so that a user (the searcher) specifies the desired search color from the displayed search color list on the display section 17.
