<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-aqueous electrolyte battery which can increase the electrolyte injection rate by making an electrolyte quickly penetrate into between electrodes as well as can improve the discharge efficiency by suppressing the lowering of the discharging capacity. <P>SOLUTION: In the non-aqueous electrolyte battery, as a strip-like positive electrode 6 and a strip-like negative electrode 7 are contained in a battery can 1 with a separator 9 arranged in between both electrodes, and a non-aqueous electrolyte is contained in the battery can 1. One or plural pass-through holes 21 are formed in the positive electrode 6, an opening cross-sectional area of each hole 21 is set in a range of 0.8-320 mm<SP>2</SP>, and a total opening area of the pass-through holes 21 in the both front and back faces per the effective area of 100 mm<SP>2</SP>in both front and back faces of the positive electrode 6 is set in a range of 0.05-5.5 mm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
