<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive ceramic such as a heating element having excellent oxidation resistance and usable at a high temperature in the air. <P>SOLUTION: The conductive ceramic is a compound sintered compact comprising an aluminum-silicon-carbon based compound in which a conductive exothermic material such as carbon or silicon carbide is existed by compacting mixed powders comprising aluminum, silicon, carbon powders and the like and firing under a reducing atmosphere. The compound sintered compact has a oxide coating film formed on the surface by heating in the air to prevent the oxidation of the conductive exothermic material existing in the sintered compact. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
