PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that facilitates jacket removing operation manually, without breaking a tension body and without using a special tool, in a limited working space. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 1 is the one in which a tension body 14 is longitudinally imbedded inside the jacket 16. The tension body 14 is adhered to the jacket 16, with its drawing force being≥100 N/20 mm. In addition, when the jacket 16 is cut and twisted at a position 20 mm from the terminal of the optical fiber cable 1, the adhesion to the tension body 14 is made detachable at a twisting angle of≤720°.
