PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cutoff valve which facilitates the prevention of secondary-side water from flowing toward a primary side when a backflow factor such as a water failure occurs, facilitates the detection of the degradation of a backflow preventive function, and is composed such that primary-side water is not discharged during a time from water cutoff to draining when draining operation is carried out by lowering a spindle. SOLUTION: The water cutoff valve is formed of: a main body 15 having a primary-side water inlet port 1 and a secondary-side water outlet port 2; a draining chamber 10 arranged on the upper portion of the main body, and allowing the spindle 9 having a draining mechanism to move therein; a check valve chamber 23 in which a check valve 22 is mounted; a bypass 11 making the draining chamber and the check valve chamber communicate with each other; a water passage 3 formed between the water inlet port and the check valve chamber and between the check valve chamber and the water outlet port; a water cutoff piece 17 having sheets for interrupting the water passage and allowing water cutoff, a water flow, and draining, and having a projection, and a cock 27 for carrying out a functional test of the check valve.
