An apparatus for processing an ultrasound image and a method for displaying an ultrasound image using the same are provided to output and store moving picture information in an external storage apparatus by selecting an image frame selected by a user from a sequence. An apparatus for processing an ultrasound image includes a first storage unit(110), a control unit(120), an image processing unit(130), and a display unit(140). The first storage unit(110) stores an ultrasonic image frame sequentially. The control unit(120) selects the ultrasonic image frame stored sequentially in the first storage unit(110) by a predetermined section, a unit size, and a unit distance. The control unit(120) generates a setting signal which sets the selected ultrasonic image frame to a predetermined frame ratio and a compression ratio. The image processing unit(130) converts the ultrasonic image frame into a moving picture corresponding to the signal generated by the control unit(120). The display unit(140) displays the ultrasonic image frame, the moving picture generated by the image processing unit(130), and the predetermined section, the unit size, the unit distance, a frame ratio and a compression ratio included in the signal. The stored ultrasonic image frame is displayed by a frame unit through the display unit(140).
