An apparatus and a method for interfacing in a home network control system are provided to control various-typed appliances by having a plug and play function. In an apparatus for interfacing in a home network control system, a first transformation unit delivers a user query information to a query information process unit. The query information process unit decodes the query information process unit to generate a query which the home network control system recognizes. An interfacing process unit delivers the query to the home network control system. A second transformation unit encodes a result of the query information process, transforms the query information to an RDF(Resource Description Framework) type, and delivers another MMI(Multi Modal Interface).
