<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing waste forming of an image in a condition that a defect in an image possibly occurs. <P>SOLUTION: When received image data is facsimile data, a reliability emphasis mode is set. It is judged whether or not a length of a supplied paper sheet 5 in the conveyance direction is smaller than a standard size by a predetermined value or more.
