APPARATUS FOR TREATING ESTROGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for efficiently treating a very small amount of estrogen contained in waste water by using a microbe-immobilized carrier on which a degradable microbe is efficiently immobilized in high density.

SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for treating estrogen has a supply port through which the water to be treated is supplied and a discharge port through which treated water is discharged and comprises a decomposition, removal and reaction tank in which an immobilized material 2 obtained by immobilizing the estrogen-decomposable microbe on the carrier containing a material, which is obtained by graft polymerization and has an anion exchange group, is arranged. The very small amount of estrogen contained in the water to be treated can be decomposed and removed by this apparatus 1 for treating estrogen.
