PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tool superior in the practical applicability capable of precluding rattling originating from the clearance between a tool and a tool holding hole while the axis of the tool is approached to the axis of the tool holding hole as much as practicable. SOLUTION: The rotary tool has a rotating main shaft 4, which is furnished with the tool holding hole 3 to admit insertion of the tool 1 such as a driver bit, drill bit, etc. and having such a section shape as to suit approximately the base 2 having a polygonal section of the tool 1, whereby the operation is conducted by rotating the tool 1 inserted into the hole 3 by rotating the main shaft 4, wherein the arrangement includes a pressing mechanism to press the tool 1 in twisting to the inner surface of the hole 3 by rotating the tool 1 in the prescribed direction.
