PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple water-resistant type housing wherein no metal mold for molding and no complex sheeting are required, and it can be manufactured at a low cost and in a short time. SOLUTION: This simple water-resistant housing 1 is manufactured by the simple bending of plates and by spot welding. The housing has a storage 20 comprising first and second side plates 21, 22 divided into right and left sides and a bottom plate 24, and has a lid 10 openable and closable by hinges. Adjacent side edges 12 of the lid are so adhered to each other by a joined portion 13 having an enough height as to prevent a flood from the upper side of the lid into the storage 20. First and second flood preventing plates 31, 32 are so constituted in butts 23 formed on both sides of the first and second side plates 21, 22 joined to each other by spot welding as to form water exhausting grooves. Consequently, the floods into the water exhausting grooves via both the butts 23 and the flood via the joined portion of side walls to the bottom plate 24 are exhausted from a first water exhausting hole 34 and a second water exhausting hole which are formed at the bottom plate 24 to the outside.
