PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound collection device for arbitrarily realizing sound collection directivity for a sound source direction by detecting a sound source direction. SOLUTION: A voice signal processing part 2 forms sound collection beams Xc1 to Xc4 corresponding to partial regions by using a time delay processing signal to be output from digital filters 21A to 21M. The sound signal processing part 2 selects a sound collection beam whose signal strength is the strongest from those sound collection beams Xc1 to Xc4, and detects a partial region where a sound source is present. A voice signal processing part 3 forms sound collection beams Xc5 to Xc8 in the same way for local regions obtained by dividing the partial region, and detects a more detailed sound source direction. The voice signal processing part 2 outputs the composite voice signal of the sound collection beam corresponding to the sound source direction on the basis of the result. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
