PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable composed by effectively utilizing PTFE as an insulator and excelling in a dielectric characteristic. SOLUTION: The insulator 4 interlaid between a center conductor 2 and an external conductor 3 is formed of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene resin). In the insulator 4, a central annular part 4a surrounding the center conductor 2 in its whole circumference and external conductor supporting parts 4c contacting and supporting the external conductor 3 from the inside surface thereof are formed, and cavities 5 extending in the cable longitudinal direction are formed between the external conductor 3 and the central annular part 4a.
