PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron multiplier which can ensure the longer product lifetime while keeping the high electron multiplication capability, and is equipped with an electron multiplication section where dynodes are laminated on multiple stages. SOLUTION: This electron multiplier is provided with an electron multiplication section where dynodes having electron multiplication holes for multiplying the incident electron are laminated on multiple stages. For those multiple-stage dynodes, the secondary electron emission plane contains the alkali-antimony for a final-stage dynode where the electron is incident finally, a given number of post-stage dynodes in succession to the final-stage dynode, a first-stage dynode where the electron is incident in the first, and a given number of pre-stage dynodes in succession to the first-stage dynode. The secondary electron emission plane never contains the alkali-antimony for the dynodes on other stages excluding the final-stage dynode, a given number of post-stage dynodes, the first-stage dynode, and a given number of pre-stage dynodes.
