PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hard disk drive capable of improving a filtering efficiency to particles in a housing and a temperature characteristic. SOLUTION: The hard disk drive of this invention includes: a housing 110 consisting of a base member 111 and a cover member 112; a spindle motor 130 installed on the base member 111, a disk 120 mounted on the spindle motor 130; an actuator 140 which is arranged on the base member 111 so as to be turnable and has a read/write head for the disk, and an air circulation unit installed in the housing to circulate air vertically in the housing by moving air flow produced by rotation of the disk vertically. Since the air in the housing 110 is smoothly circulated by the air circulation unit, the filtering efficiency to the particles and a temperature characteristic in the housing are improved.
