PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information management system capable of easily backing up and restoring data with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The information management system has an information input device 10 for inputting and totaling accounting data, and an information storage device for storing backup data of the accounting data totaled by the information input device 10. The information input device 10 comprises an information management section 16 having an information management application for totaling the input accounting data, and a storage section 14 for storing an account book file 52 composed of an input data file into which the accounting data totaled by the information management application is input, and backup setting information of the input data file. The information management section 16 transmits e-mail with the account book file 52 attached and addressed to the information storage device, and the information storage device stores the account book file 52.
