<p>The device has a venturi tube (12) with a cross sectional area (13) which assumes a minimum value in a longitudinal run of the venturi tube. An adjusting device (14) adjusts the minimum value of the cross sectional area of the venturi tube. A wall (15) of the venturi tube for adjusting the value of the cross sectional area in an adjusting direction is adjustably supported opposite to a wall (16) of the cross sectional area.</p>
