<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for manufacturing a fuel cell separator capable of integrally releasing burr produced at the time of compression molding along with a molding without fixing the same to the mold, easy to clean and making it hard to form cavities, and a manufacturing method of the fuel cell separator using it. <P>SOLUTION: The mold for manufacturing the fuel cell separator is composed of an upper mold 1 and a bottom mold 2 or both molds 1 and 2 and, in addition to them, a center mold 3. The space formed by the upper mold 1 and the bottom mold 2 is set to a separator molding cavity A and a space B is formed to the whole surface of the just near outer periphery of the space B while a burr storing space C is formed to the whole outside periphery of the space B. In the manufacturing method of the fuel cell separator using the mold for the fuel cell separator, a graphite powder and a thermosetting resin are mixed and ground to prepare a molding powder and this molding powder is charged in the cavity A and space B of the mold to be molded with heat and pressure. Preferably, the preformed body molded by preforming the molding powder is charged in the cavity A and space B of the mold for manufacturing the fuel cell separator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
