<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for an upwardly opening and closing window which is good in workability, appearance and maintainability, has an excellent sealing property, and can fix a glass plate to a support frame 2 with a screw or the like without using a urethane adhesive. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip is mounted on the support frame 2 for supporting the glass plate 1 constituting the upwardly opening and closing window for automobiles, and seals the glass plate 1 and a car-body panel 3. The weather strip comprises: a substantially U-shaped base 11 assembled with a mounting part 2 located at a peripheral end of the support frame 2; a hollow seal part 12 integrated with the base 11 and elastically connected to the car-body panel 3; and a lip piece 13 which is horizontally arranged from the other-side lower end of the base 11, and has a sponge seal part 14 made of a sponge and elastically connected to the lower surface of the glass plate 1 at the tip part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
