<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus capable of stably controlling the temperature of a fixing belt, even though the temperature of the fixing belt quickly rises, consequently, capable of maintaining stable fixation quality, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing apparatus 1 includes: an endless fixing belt 6 with a resistance layer formed at the inner surface, and which can rotationally move; a fixing member 4 arranged at the inside of the fixing belt 6, having an elastic layer; a freely rotating pressure member 5 facing the fixing member 4 so as to form a nip part 3; a power supply member 8 having an electrode at each end, and also, whose surface other than the electrode part is composed of high insulating material, and also, which allows the fixing belt 6 to rotationally move while applying a tension on the fixing belt 6; a winding quantity adjusting means 10A which is arranged inside or outside the fixing belt 6 or both sides so as to adjust the winding quantity of the fixing belt 6 around the power supply member 8; and a winding quantity control means for controlling the winding quantity adjusting means 10A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
