PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turnbuckle having damping function and strength. SOLUTION: This turnbuckle comprises an operation body 10 formed in a frame shape or a cylindrical shape with a hollow part 11 and having a bolt insertion hole 12 in one of the faces 14 thereof facing each other in the axial direction, a nut 20 disposed on the inner surface of the operation body 10 so as to be axially slidable on the inner surface of the operation body and stopped to rotate by the inner surface of the operation body, an elastic body 30 disposed so as to act elastically on the nut 20 and the wall face 14 of the operation body 10 in the direction that a distance between the nut 20 and the wall face 14 is increased while it is held between the nut and the wall face of the operation body on the bolt insertion hole 12 side, and a bolt 40 threaded with the nut 20 and projectable from the bolt insertion hole 12 by rotating the operation body 10.
