PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeper for preventing positional dislocation by increasing track bed resistance force, improving durability and vibration damping performance, and also reducing cost. SOLUTION: This sleeper 1 is integrally joined by vertically laying a plurality of sleeper wooden pieces 10 (11 to 15); and is constituted by arranging an inclined face 10a (11a) or a curved surface (12a, 13a) turning in the vertical direction or a projection strip 14a or a recessed strip 15a turning in the longitudinal direction, over the substantially total length on both longitudinal side surfaces of at least any of laying sleeper wooden pieces 10 (11 to 15).
