PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonwoven fabric that is a hydroentangled nonwoven fabric comprising cotton, has excellent textures and is apt to be extended in one direction. SOLUTION: A laminated web in which cotton fiber layers (1, 3) having≥50 mass% of cotton are arranged on both sides of a cellulose-based short fiber layer (2) is placed on a supporting body, the two surfaces (namely the surface and the back) of the laminated web are sprayed with a columnar water stream under pressure of≥1 MPa and≤10 MPa once-five times respectively, so that the fibers are mutually interlaced and the cellulose-based short fiber layer (2) is integrated with the cotton fiber layers (1, 3) to give the laminated nonwoven fabric.
