PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based coating material having excellent curability even in an environment of a curing temperature of≤0°C. SOLUTION: The water-based coating material contains a synthetic resin emulsion, aggregate, a filler, a pigment, an additive, water and a carbodiimide compound. The amount of the carbodiimide compound in the water-based coating material is 0.1-10.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the sum of the synthetic resin emulsion, aggregate, filler, pigment, additive and water.
