PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a glycerol polyalkylene glycol ether derivative (2), with which deketalization reaction is efficiently carried out and which has improved filterability. SOLUTION: A compound represented by formula (1) is subjected to acid hydrolysis to produce a glycerol polyalkylene glycol ether derivative represented by general formula (2). An acid is added and a water content is adjusted. A formed ketone and water are distilled while introducing an inert gas. A water content and an acid value are adjusted, dehydration and adsorption are carried out and then filtration is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
