PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which does not cause electrification of an adherend upon peeling, is reduced in the tendency to stain an adherend, and is excellent in bonding reliability and to provide an antistatic pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet or like object using the same. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises a polyester comprising monomer units having a hydrocarbon group as a side chain and a number average molecular weight of at least 5,000, and an ionic liquid.
