PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that makes a drawing force of the outer layer sheath longitudinally adjustable accurately with a little variance, ensuring easiness of the removal and that also makes protrusion of the inner layer sheath suppressed. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable is obtained by covering coated optical fibers with a jacket comprising at least two layers of an inner and an outer layer sheath 3, 4. On the outer face of the inner layer sheath 3 in contact with the outer layer sheath 4, there are provided one or more projections 3a which are continuous in the longitudinal direction. Also, a winding tape 5 can be arranged between the inner and outer layer sheaths 3, 4. The outer layer sheath 4 can be formed by closely arranging to the inner face a metallic protective layer machined into bellows, wherein the projections 3a of the inner layer sheath 3 may have intermittent recesses formed to which the metallic protective layer in the shape of the bellows is fitted.
