PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for limiting the copy of a duplication copied from a work such as a book as the original.

SOLUTION: This MFP1 is provided with: a print validity/invalidity decision part 81 for deciding whether limit information for limiting image formation is included in an information tag 102 attached to an original 101 or image data read by an image reading part 2; and an output sheet selecting part 63 for selecting a recording sheet with regulation information to which regulation information for inhibiting or limiting image formation processing based on a recording sheet where an image is formed is attached (recording sheet where copy limit code/pattern is preliminarily formed or recording sheet equipped with radio tag where the regulation information is preliminarily recorded) as a recording sheet for executing image formation when the limit information is included.
