<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a beverage that effectively reduces a sulfur smell and a hot taste (irritation) characteristic of α-lipoic acid (ALA), increases solubility of ALA and has no turbidity. <P>SOLUTION: The α-lipoic acid-containing beverage contains ALA and a branched CD (cyclodextrin) component composed of a combination of one or two or more kinds of branched α-CD, branched β-CD and branched γ-CD. The beverage sufficiently masks a sulfur smell and a hot taste (irritation) of ALA by mixing with the branched CD component, sufficiently dissolves ALA due to remarkably high solubility of branched CD itself than that of CD, is sold on the market and has no turbidity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
