<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques to suppress the influences due to components which are placed near a motor that rotates and drives a polygon mirror and causes changes in a magnetic field on the driving of the motor, without inhibiting size reduction of a device. <P>SOLUTION: The device is equipped with a motor for driving a polygon mirror for forming a scanning pattern on the photosensitive surface of a photoreceptor by scanning with light, a developing unit for forming a toner image on the photoreceptor surface by using a magnet which can approach and retreat from the photosensitive surface, and a magnetic material, disposed in a predetermined region between the motor and the developing unit and blocking magnetic power for preventing the magnetic force, by the magnet in the developing unit, from affecting the motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
