<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery having battery voltage set high in which load characteristics can be improved, while suppressing swelling. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode 21 and a negative electrode 22 are laminated through a separator 23 and an electrolyte layer 24. The open circuit voltage at full charge is 4.25 V or more and 4.50 V or less. The electrolyte layer 24 contains an electrolytic liquid and a polymer compound and is in gelatinous state. The electrolytic liquid contains a solvent including ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, and chain type carbonate, and the content of the chain type carbonate in the solvent is 10 wt% or less.
