PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type hydraulic power generation device capable of maintaining rotation efficiency of a hydraulic turbine adapted to change of water quantity or matching with wave of tidal current in a form that half or more blades having buoyancy and arranged on a circumference always exist in air from a water level in a hydraulic power generation using an irrigation channel. SOLUTION: In hydraulic power generation using the irrigation channel such as agricultural water supply, although width of river is fixed, water quantity changes according to season and depth of water changes. Height of hydraulic turbine blade and characteristics of power generator are determined to match with shallow water depth. If water quantity is large and water depth changes to deep, buoyancy is generated on the float to keep water flow quantity received by the hydraulic turbine constant, and rotation of the hydraulic turbine is kept stable. When the buoyancy type hydraulic power generation device is installed, the device can be easily attached on the irrigation channel or a mole by locking with an anchor bolt or the like, and stability or the like in relation to whole weight can be compensated and a power generation pause condition can be provided by providing a hinge and a balancer on a frame when the float does not have sufficient buoyancy against water quantity.
