PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing method of a breakwater capable of also reinforcing a soil structure supporting structural strength of the existing breakwater and the breakwater without greatly reducing the structural strength of the existing breakwater even if it is during the period of reinforcing work and the breakwater reinforced by the reinforcing method. SOLUTION: The reinforcing method for reinforcing the existing breakwater comprises a boring process of drilling a hole passing through the inside of the breakwater from a parapet projected upward of the existing breakwater and extended to a bedrock under the breakwater, a metal wire insertion process of inserting a metal wire into the hole section and fixing the metal wire to the bottom end of the hole section and an injection process injecting a filler into the hole section.
