[Class 52 (iii)] A collapsable stand comprises four legs 10 having feet 19 and each entering a socket 17 in a top 18, each pair being joined by a pair of crossed stays 11 each of which is pivoted to a slider 15 at one end and to a fixed lug 13 at the other end, each pair of stays 11 being pivoted at a point 12 above their centres so that the legs splay out on opening. Stops 16 are provided on the legs 10 to limit the opening. Telescopic screw-set legs may be fitted. The stand may alternatively have three legs only, |
