STATUS INDICATOR FOR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

A method and system for acquiring user status information at a transmitting device to a receiving device, or vice versa is provided. A transmitting device attempts to establish a communication setup with a receiving device (202) and a query is performed to derive status information (204). The user status information is acquired at the transmitting device (206) and the communication setup is established (208). The transmitting devices asks the user whether they still desire to establish a communication connection, considering the status information presented at the transmitting device (210).
