PURPOSE: Provided is a hydrogen gas generator which is able to actively control generation of hydrogen by inner pressure difference according to the amount of the hydrogen generated from a fuel tank with no dependence on any physical external force. CONSTITUTION: In a hydrogen generator for a hydrogen fuel cell having a fuel tank where a hydrogen outlet is equipped, a fuel solution of a hydrogen storage material where the hydrogen storage material is dissolved in the inner part of the fuel tank and stored and a catalyst(21) being in contact with the fuel solution to generate hydrogen, the catalyst is contained in a catalyst reaction pipe(20), which consists of a closed part(27) stopping the generation of hydrogen when the pressure of the fuel tank is increased more than a certain value and an open part(28) again contact with the fuel solution when the pressure of the fuel tank is decreased to generate the hydrogen, to actively control the generation of the hydrogen and the stop of the hydrogen generation according to the pressure increase and decrease in the fuel tank. |
