<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing biogas and clean water, in each of which biogas is produced from a floating waterweed as a biomass resource without discharging digestive juices produced simultaneously and clean water is produced at a step of growing the floating waterweed and each of which can contribute to the environmental protection and is excellent in cost effectiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 6 for producing biogas and clean water is provided with: a fermentation tank 7 which has an introduction port for introducing the floating waterweed, a gas discharge port for discharging produced biogas and a digestive juice discharging port for discharging produced digestive juices and in which the introduced floating waterweed is fermented anaerobically; a growth tank 8 in which rainwater is received and accumulated, a culture solution 37 to which the digestive juices are added as manure is held and the floating waterweed is grown; and a purification tank 9 in which the floating waterweed is grown while holding a surplus 39 of the culture solution and a manure component of the culture solution is absorbed on the floating waterweed and removed to obtain clean water. The growth tank 8 and/or the purification tank 9 can be arranged on the surface S of the sea. A water hyacinth is preferably used as the floating waterweed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
