<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable dispersion read under equal conditions by utilizing a plurality of image scanners connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A method of setting read conditions includes read means 27, 37 for reading a document image to generate image data, CPUs (read control means) 20, 30 for controlling the read means according to the read conditions, and communication means 24, 34. The plurality of the image scanners 2, 3 are connected to other image scanners via the network 5. One image scanner 2 can transmit at least partial read conditions to another image scanner 3 by the communication means 24 in a dispersion read mode. The other image scanner 3 receives the read conditions of an image transmitted from another image scanner 2 by the communication means 34 in the dispersion read mode, and controls a read means 37 according to the received read conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
